Home of Good Hope’s fundraising objective is to effect a multi-faceted fundraising (resource raising) strategy with a diverse range of income streams to raise enough capital to sustain the organisation administration and operational costs that will enable the organisation to operate efficiently and effectively. Every effort is being made to secure the financial sustainability of the organisation and to reduce the dependence on donors.
The new bookkeeping system allows for the detailed tracking of funds and donations ‘in kind’ and accurate reporting, ensuring that specified donations are utilised as specified.
Home of Good Hope is launching an annual fundraiser that can be grown every year, securing our space in the Namibian Fundraising Calendar of Events with a unique offering, which we plan to develop into “the most appealing fundraiser in the country”, significantly raising the profile of Home of Good Hope locally and internationally and expanding our local corporate support-base in line with sustainable developmental practices.
We have established long-term annual commitment to the growing of the event from The College of the Arts, the National Orchestra, the National Theatre, local choirs and performers in the community. The radio and news coverage leading up to the event will create an awareness of Home of Good Hope and their services and needs. Various online fundraising platforms will be used to maximise the reach and impact of the fundraiser.
